Subject: Good Start!

Hi all,

To introduce myself, I’m [redacted] and I found the link to your blog through a RT for Google Wave (surprise, surprise).  As requested, I RT and left a comment on one of the pages.

I just wanted to email to let you know that I think you have a good concept for a site. In fact, I wish there were more sources or blogs like this when I first started out.   I graduated from college over 5 years ago and I’m currently half way through bschool and almost 5 years into a job in a professional services firm.  I’ve learned quite a bit over the past few years and feel lucky to have found a mentor in my current boss.   However, there are definitely days when I question my career/financial/life decisions, wish I had an additional sounding board, or learned something I wish I could share with others who are in the same situation or position.

I think your site is a great vehicle for that and more.  The twenties/thirties are a great time for figuring out where you’re going and what you can be – and I think we all have a lot we can learn from each other.  If there’s anything I can contribute to your site, I would be more than glad to collaborate.

This was a great email to wake up to.  Thanks for the word of encouragement!  Even though we’ve written less than a week’s worth of posts, I can go forth in full confidence knowing that there is a need to be filled.  I’ll probably come back to this email when things get dry and I just can’t seem to string together the words to finish anything.  We’re definitely open to guest contributors so if you have something you feel would be perfect for our blog, email it to us at contact[at]the-postgrad.com!  Please post your article into the body of your email as sorting through attachments can get messy!
